| SPECIFICATIONS |
|
The following specifications are provided to ensure conformity to the automated insertion process for printed materials into standard CD jewel boxes. Materials which do not conform to the specifications set forth in these instructions may still be considered workable parts, but may require manual insertion, a process that is more costly for us which means there would be additional charges to you. Dimensional Requirements: All finished materials and/or submitted artwork must fall within the numeric sizing parameters as set forth on the Finished Tray Card Cut Dimensions Diagram shown above. Paper Grain: Adherence to the paper stock grain direction requirement, as noted on the Finished Tray Card Cut Dimensions Diagram shown above is critical. Failure to comply with it may make automated insertion of your booklets and tray cards impossible resulting in hand packaging surcharges & potential delays. Perforations: Tray cards must be perforated (not scored) for spine fold lines. Dashed lines on Finished Tray Card Cut Dimensions Diagram (shown above) indicate perforation lines. Perforations should have a density rate of 12 perf's per inch & be 1/16" in length with 1/32" posts between perforations. Perforations should be stamped onto the sheet from the back side (facing jewel box tray). Paper Stock: Material should be wood-free, non-porous, art paper coated on both sides. Opaque stock is highly recommended to eliminate bleed-through. Thickness of Finished Tray Card: Paper stock must be between .0045" & .0055" in thickness. We recommend 100 lb. text weight. UV Coating and Varnishing: High gloss coatings are vulnerable to damage which can affect the appearance of the finished product and may be incompatible with automated equipment, requiring manual insertion. Do not UV coat or varnish printed materials either before or after printing. Compact Disc Logo: A registered form of the compact disc logo should appear on the BACK LINER artwork to ensure product conformity to industry specifications. The logo can be no less than 15/32" wide and be visible on the back panel of the booklet. |
