1. Colors: RSRT/ Digital Master Works can color match most PMS (Pantone Matching System) colors. Pastel, fluorescent, metallic, and custom color matching is available upon request. Due to the transparent nature of CD inks, we cannot guarantee to color match all colors when printed over the silver disc or other colors. A slight color shift may occur when printing in the center ring of the disc due to the lack of a reflective coating. To ensure proper color match, over printing colors must be avoided. In general, knockout (drop out) all under printed colors and provide at least point overlap (trap) between adjoining colors. Black is the exception & should be selected when fine line work or text is to be overprinted. 2. Trapping: The first color prints bolder than the 2nd color drop-out. Drop-outs should have a 1 point overlap or "trap." (1/2 point actual print trap) 3. Minimum Line Width is 0.15mm (approx. point) and 0.30mm reverse (approx. 1 point). 4. Minimum Text Size is 4 points (6 points reverse). Text must also comply with the minimum line width specification to be legibly reproduced. |
|
1. Halftones, Screen Tints and Vignettes can be reproduced in most colors offered for line art reproduction, however, color match cannot be guaranteed due to dot density variation. 2. Dot Density: For best results, the dot density of screen tints and vignettes should be limited between 20 and 80% and should utilize elliptical dot. 3. Ink Colors: For optimum halftone reproduction, process ink colors should be selected and film should be prepared per four color process printing requirements below. |

1. White Background: Process Colors must be printed over a white background to ensure accurate color match (include a background film). The colors will appear slightly faded when printed over the silver disc (specify if the white background is to be omitted). 2. Minimum line width is 0.30mm (approx. 1 point). 3. Minimum text size is 8 points. (Text must also comply with the minimum line width specification to be legibly reproduced.) 4. Separations (four color process films). For optimum quality, we prefer to produce our own color separations from the customer supplied artwork. Contact your RSRT Customer Service Representative regarding our graphic design support. 5. Customer Supplied Film must comply with the following additional specifications:
6. Proofing: A color proof made from the film must accompany it in order for production to begin. |
